The Boston technology market is in great shape. This is pretty clear with the number of large investments and acquisitions we have been seeing. I can also say this is true based on the number of clients I am currently working with looking to hire experienced PHP Engineers. The war for human capital is being fought in many ways locally, look around – how many local organizations has Hubspot acquired recently? Since receiving their funding they first tried to offer a $10,000 bounty to ANYONE who could refer them talented engineers. Since then they have added to their team by acquiring the talent of other local start-ups who have been finding success – simply by buying the companies they work for. Unfortunately for most companies the option of adding talent to their organizations can’t be solved by simply buying out someone with a talented engineering team. These companies have to take a different approach so they are reaching out to Agency recruiters more often as the need for this talent has reached mission-critical in so many instances. We are working with multiple organizations just like this. From established industry leaders to companies with great ideas and great opportunities for new employees still building their teams and working towards funding of their own.
This is a great time to be a passive seeker! Even if you currently have a job – what can it hurt to test the market and see where it takes you? The key is to find a recruiting partner to make sure that you are only hearing about the opportunities that are going to interest you. As an avid supporter of Boston PHP, and regular sponsor of the groups meetup’s, we here at Chase Technology Consultants hope that we can be your recruiting partner in exactly this type of search.
I am currently working with companies building cutting edge social networks, or creating custom based solutions for companies like Fruit of the Loom, or creating targeted marketing campaigns for Aerosmith and President Obama. There are so many interesting projects out there that I have to have something that will excite you technically, get you an increase in your salary, and potentially even put you closer to home or in a more flexible work environment. Here is a link to the jobs my team and I are currently trying to fill. http://chasetechconsultants.com/srch_reslt.php
